When threatened by a senior by peeing on their room’s door, Rancho electrocuted the senior by letting him pee on spoon connected to a live wire. While they were bowing with their asses naked (it’s how they “pay their respects”), Rancho arrived, and refused to take off his clothes and went into their room instead. But not because Rancho joined the initiation. He met Rancho during the initiation, where they were forced to pay their respects to their seniors. First, he met Raju, who was praying at the time. There, he also met his two roommates, Raju Rastogi and Ranchoddas Chanchad who both became his best friends, and together, they were called the 3 idiots. In the college, he met fellow students who are also doing their very best to be engineers. He never really wanted to be an engineer himself. He went to the Imperial College of Engineering, only postponing his dreams. He did not immediately heed his own heart’s wish for he followed his dad’s – for him to be an Engineer. His father wanted him to be an Engineer ever since he was born. However, his dreams seemed out of reach by the time he went to the Imperial College of Engineering. He had an ambition to be an apprentice of one of the most celebrated wildlife photographer in Hungary, where he wanted to go too. His interest is to capture beautiful wildlife photos. No just ordinary photos – beautiful photos. Confusing, right? In the beginning of his memories in college, he can be seen sporting a camera, and taking photos of puppies. While the three were travelling to Shimla, memories of their college life flashed back to Farhan’s mind.įarhan Qureshi is an engineering student who wanted to be a wildlife photographer. It’s all because the latter just disappeared without a trace after graduation. Raju even forgot to put on his pants because they were both excited for the news about Rancho.

Dhillon to get a driver from the airport. He picked up Raju from home on his way to the meeting place set by Chatur, and did so by pretending to be Mr. Anyway, he did cancel his flight by faking a heart attack. Chatur said he knows where Rancho is – in Shimla.

The movie started with Farhan trying to cancel his flight after checking in because of a phonecall from Chatur Ramalingam, a former classmate who had a bet with them three that he will be successful in his ways in getting through college. Let me give you a background about what happened in the movie and Farhan first. I say this because I’ve seen it when he left Rancho and Farhan when he thought they were about to drag him down, and when he attempted suicide. I’m not one to rely on luck unlike Raju, and I don’t easily get discouraged. I’m not super smart unlike Rancho, and I definitely don’t come from a wealthy family or at least financed by one. Why? I can’t relate to Rancho’s or Raju’s characters. I’m going to relate them to the course too, so here we go. Most of them came from Rancho’s perspective but I chose to view the life lessons of the movie in Farhan’s. The movie speaks of many lessons in life that one must remember. To summarize the whole story, the movie was about the three friends’ journey through the ICE, and what they, and other characters have become years after the graduation. They went to various adventures together. They were roommates when they arrived in the college and became best of friends. Raju came from poor family and apart from his dreams of lifting his family out of the pits of poverty. Farhan Qureshi came from a middle-class family who put a sizeable amount of money and effort for his education. Rancho Ranchodas came from a wealthy family who owns an Engineering firm. The three are young men who came from different walks of life but went to the same college, the Imperial College of Engineering. Its main characters are Ranchoddas Chanchad or Phungsukh Wangdu, Farhan Qureshi, and Raju Rastogi. Hi there! So I have just watched the movie entitled 3 idiots, a Bollywood movie.
